What we collect
Only what the enquiry form asks for: your name, phone number, email address, where you are travelling from and to, the date and time, how many people are travelling, and anything you write in the notes. We also collect basic statistics about how the site is used, described under "Analytics and cookies" below. We set no advertising cookies and we do not sell your details.
Why we hold it
To quote your fare, confirm the job and drive it. We also keep it as a record of the booking so we can answer questions about it later, and so a repeat trip does not need to be typed out twice.
Who sees it
The Luxury Cabs and the driver assigned to your trip. Enquiries are delivered by our email provider and stored in our mailbox. Site statistics are collected by Google Analytics on our behalf. We do not sell or pass your details to anyone else, and we do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to count visits and see which pages people look at. It tells us which pages were viewed, roughly which city the visit came from, and the type of device and browser. When an enquiry is sent we also record two things about it: which of the five service types was chosen, and whether a fixed or metered fare was asked for. Nothing you typed is included — not your name, phone number, email address, addresses, dates or notes. The result is a count of enquiries by type, not a record of yours. It sets cookies in your browser, and the information is held by Google on servers outside Australia, including in the United States. If you would rather not be counted, block cookies in your browser settings or install Google’s opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Blocking it does not affect the enquiry form.
Address lookup
When you type into the pickup or destination fields, what you type is sent to Google to suggest matching Australian addresses. This happens as you type, and Google handles it on servers outside Australia. If you would rather it did not, call us and give us the addresses over the phone instead.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries and booking records while they are useful for servicing your travel and for the period required of a commercial passenger vehicle operator in Victoria. You can ask us to delete yours at any time.
Your choices
Write to us and we will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it. If you would rather not use the form, call and give us the details over the phone instead.
